Here's why the distinction matters: Traditional charities depend on donations. Fundraising cycles, grant applications, and donor fatigue create pressure and unpredictability. When a grant expires or a donor's priorities shift, environmental projects suffer. GreenSweep generates its own revenue through commercial partnerships and commits at least 50% of profits to verified environmental projects chosen by our community. This creates a sustainable, self-funding model that doesn't depend on charitable donations. Under Maltese law (Chapter 16), a Purpose Foundation is legally bound by its charitable mission. Founders cannot extract profits. Assets cannot be redirected. The mission is permanent and enforceable. In practical terms, the accountability mechanisms are as strong as those governing a traditional charity—we're simply funded differently. Why does this matter for you? Votes are not donations. You never pay us, and voting doesn't generate a tax deduction.

His background spans full-stack engineering, distributed systems, and compliance-grade data infrastructure. He ensures that the platform's technical foundations enforce transparency and mission-locking at code level, not just in policy documents. The Purpose Foundation structure legally prevents either founder from overriding the mission or extracting profits — that constraint is written into the founding documents and enforced by Maltese law. Example: If a project receives 30% of total votes cast, it receives 30% of the funding pool for that cycle. The funding pool is built from at least 50% of GreenSweep's profits. With matched funding and corporate sustainability partnerships added on top—funding that flows entirely to projects—overall impact efficiency across the combined pool rises to 85–96% of every euro contributed. Revenue outside the committed funding pool covers GreenSweep's own operating costs: platform development, team salaries, legal and compliance, customer support, and growth marketing. This is a pre-launch estimate; actual amounts are published every allocation cycle and are expected to grow with scale. 2. Matched Funding
Philanthropic organisations match community-directed funding. Every matched euro flows 100% to projects, lifting overall impact efficiency toward 85%. 3. Corporate Sustainability Programmes
Enterprises use GreenSweep for employee engagement and ESG reporting. This capital flows through the platform to vetted projects, pushing impact efficiency above 95% at scale. We're transparent about this model because honesty builds trust. Many platforms obscure their revenue sources. We don't.

Your participation directs verified environmental funding — that is the outcome, not a personal reward. This is a deliberate design choice: Non-incentivised participation produces higher-quality engagement and more authentic community votes.
It ensures that our commercial partners receive genuine, organic traffic — not artificially inflated numbers.
It aligns with our Purpose Foundation structure: the mission benefits, not individuals. Influencer partnerships are a separate B2B arrangement and do not change the user experience. Regular users are never paid, and there is no referral bounty programme for individual users.

When corporate sustainability partners direct capital through the platform, it climbs above 95% — because every additional euro from those sources flows entirely to projects. Once GreenSweep completes its transition to a Malta Purpose Foundation, our founding documents will include a ratchet clause that only moves in one direction: more to projects. Today, the at-least-50%-of-profits commitment is made by GreenSweep Pte. Ltd. Revenue outside the committed funding pool covers our own operating costs:

Our target is to grow the commercial value to up to €150 per user as our three revenue layers mature: 1.
